SPICY OR MASALA RICE (KHICHDI ) KHADESH STYLE IN ENGLISH

                                                  SPICY OR MASALA  RICE (KHICHDI )

 INGREDIENT      :

  • RICE - 2 BOWL
  • TOOR DAL OR PIGEON PEA - 1 BOWL
  • CHOPPED ONION - 1
  • CORIANDER - HALF BOWL
  •  CHOPPED POTATO - 1
  • CHOPPED TOMATO  - 1
  • HOME MADE GARAM MASALA OR GODA MASALA - 1 TO 2 TSP
  • RED CHILLI POWDER - 1 TSP
  • SALT - AS PER TASTE


PROCEDURE :

  • FIRST COOKER PUT ON THE GAS,THEN ITS HOT ADD THEN ADD OIL .
                          
  •  OIL IS HOT THEN PUT ON CHOPPED ONION , THEN  STIR IT UNTIL COLOR IS NOT CHANGE .
                    
  • ONION COLOR IS SLIGHTLY GOLDEN BROWN THEN ADD CHOPPED TOMATO.

  •  TOMATO IS WELL SOFT AND COOK THEN  ADD GARAM MASALA AND RED CHILLI POWDER MIXTURE .(ADD SOME WATER AND MIX TOGETHER)
                  
  • THEN ADD CHOPPED POTATO, PEANUT AND MIX IT VERY WELL .

  • COOK IT UNTIL OIL IS SEPRATED , THEN ADD WATER  AND SALT MIX IT PROPRLY.

  •  THEN ADD RICE AND PIAGON PEA OR TOOR DAL WASH IT AND PUT ON  WATER AND SPICES MIXTURE BOIL. 

  •  ADD CORIANDER LEAVES THEN MIX IT AND AGAIN BOIL IT .

  • THEN CLOSE THE COOKER LID ,GAS FLAME IS HIGH  ONE VESSEL THEN SLOW GAS FLAME AND COOK IT 15 MIN.

  • AFTER 15 MIN. SWICH OFF THE GAS FLAME AND COOKER IS COOL DOWN.

  •  THEN SREVE THE RICE OR KHICHDI WITH KADHI OR PICKLE OR PAPAD.

  • KHICHDI IS SUFFICIENT FOR      2 -3 PEOPLE .
